Chuo Spring Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Nagoya City
Midori-Ku; President and CEO: Satoshi Takae) exhibited its own developed products at Medtech Japan, Japan's largest exhibition on the manufacturing and design of medical devices held at the Tokyo International Exhibition Hall from April 14 to 16, 2021, with the aim of entering the medical device and nursing care equipment market.

We developed and exhibited "step elevator systems" that can be used after any type of wheelchair based on the concept of making it easier for wheelchair users to get on or off, and received a great response. When a caregiver gets on or off, he or she can sit down by stepping down the step with a simple lever operation. Caregivers don't have to collapse steps when they fall back, and they can help them get rid without spotting their hands. In addition, we are able to install a rear lever that allows caregivers to operate. We are advancing development with support from Fujita Medical University as part of the Aichi Prefecture Nursing Care and Rehabilitation Support Robot Society Implementation Promotion Project.
We exhibited 13 types of "small diameter control cables" for medical devices that utilize the technologies developed for automotive cables, and seven nursing care and welfare equipment that matches the needs collected from medical institutions and elderly facilities with our springs and other
technologies.
