Chugai Mining Co., Ltd. announced consolidated earnings results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2015. For the quarter, the company reported revenue of JPY 8,691 million compared to JPY 3,490 million a year ago. Operating loss was JPY 126 million compared to JPY 135 million a year ago. Recurring loss was JPY 140 million compared to JPY 179 million a year ago. Net loss was JPY 156 million or JPY 0.54 per share compared to JPY 183 million JPY 0.63 per share a year ago.
For the second half of 2016, on consolidated basis, the company expects revenue of JPY 15,900 million, operating profit of JPY 170 million, declared profit of JPY 140 million and current net profit of JPY 50 million or JPY 0.17 per share.
For the year ending March 31, 2016, on consolidated basis, the company expects revenue of JPY 32,700 million, operating profit of JPY 400 million, declared profit of JPY 330 million and current net profit of JPY 160 million or JPY 0.55 per share.
Chugai Mining Co., Ltd. is principally engaged in the operation of precious metal business. The Company operates in five business segments. The Precious Metal segment is engaged in the sale of precious metals, artifacts and jewelries, the production and sale of gold, silver, platinum and palladium, as well as the purchase and sale of nonferrous metals which contain gold and silver. The Real Estate segment is involved in the subdivision and leasing of condominium buildings, as well as the trading, brokerage, leasing, management and planning development of real estate. The Machinery segment purchases and sells used machine tools, sheet metal machines and others. The Investment segment is engaged in the possession, trading and operation of securities. The Content segment plans, designs, manufactures, and sells toys and play equipment, and sells, wholesales, plans, and develops character products.
