TEL AVIV, Israel (AP) _ Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. (CHKP) on Monday reported second-quarter net income of $186 million.
On a per-share basis, the Tel Aviv, Israel-based company said it had net income of $1.38. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were $1.61 per share.
The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of 11 analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.56 per share.
The data security company posted revenue of $526.1 million in the period, which also topped Street forecasts. Twelve analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $523.4 million.
Check Point shares have declined slightly more than 5% since the beginning of the year. The stock has climbed 2% in the last 12 months.
