Breville Group Ltd Reports Earnings Results for the First Half Ended December 31, 2012; Provides Earnings Guidance for the Year 2013

Breville Group Ltd. reported earnings results for the first half ended December 31, 2012. For the period, the company reported revenue of AUD 264.4 million against AUD 233.6 million a year ago. EBITDA was AUD 49.7 million against AUD 45.2 million a year ago. EBIT was AUD 46.1 million against AUD 41.8 million a year ago. NPAT was AUD 31.7 million or 24.4 cents per basic share against AUD 29.4 million or 22.6 cents per basic share a year ago. Return on equity was 24.8% against 22.7% a year ago. This earnings growth was driven by the Group's international businesses supported by a solid performance in Australia. NPAT and EPS grew at a slightly lower rate than EBITDA as a result of a higher effective tax rate flowing from the changing geographical split of the Group's earnings.
Growth in EBITDA for the full 2013 financial year is currently expected to be in the range of 4-8%. (EBITDA for the full 2012 financial year was AUD 72.5 million).

Its products include espresso machines, Nespresso machines, drip coffee machines, coffee grinders, juicers, blenders, ovens and air fryers, pizza ovens, microwaves, bread makers, toasters, grills and sandwich makers, and waffle makers.
