For the first time, Brenntag GmbH has participated in the annual 'Dialogue with Youth' event series organised by the TalentMetropole Ruhr Foundation. On 25 March, 2019, the company opened the doors of its 'House of Elements' corporate headquarters in Essen to 75 students from three schools - Graf-Engelbert-Schule in Bochum, the Franz-Haniel-Gymnasium in Duisburg and the Gymnasium Velbert-Langenberg in Velbert. The secondary school students got the opportunity to have a detailed conversation with Oliver Rechtsprecher, Chair of the Management Board at Brenntag GmbH, who was happy to answer the numerous questions.

The students were particularly interested in how Brenntag implements its business model in the German business arena and what development opportunities the company sees worldwide. However, topics such as training opportunities and job profiles also featured high on the list of questions.

Oliver Rechtsprecher: 'Brenntag seeks to underscore its commitment to education with their first participation in 'Dialogue with Youth'. Around 40 young people are currently completing their training with us in Germany in five different professions. We are pleased to have the opportunity to make even more students aware of the exciting vocational openings in our company by way of this established dialogue format.'

Brenntag has been a sponsor of the 'Initiativkreis Ruhr' initiative since the end of 2018 and, in addition to 'Dialogue with Youth', will be participating in the association's other projects and formats.
