BMW announces the arrival of a 'new era' for the BMW Group's Munich plant: from 2026, the Group's flagship plant will produce a sedan based on the next-generation 'Neue Klasse' platform.

It is planned that just one year later, from 2027, the plant will produce only fully electric models, making the Munich site the first in the network to complete its transformation in favor of electric mobility, the automaker assures.

' The Munich plant is an excellent example of our ability to adapt. We're investing €650 million here and will be producing all-electric vehicles exclusively at our parent plant from the end of 2027', sums up Milan Nedeljkovic, BMW AG Board Member, Production.

We are delighted to be guiding the Munich plant into an all-electric future, starting with the Neue Klasse sedan', adds Peter Weber, Head of the BMW Group Munich plant.
