Aquantia Corp. announced the AQtion AQC100 10G Ethernet Controller. The AQtion AQC100 provides a flexible and highly optimized 10GbE solution that enables SFP+ port or backplane connectivity. The 7mm x 11mm package offers a small-footprint, cost-effective PCI Express to 10GbE solution that can be used in a range of applications including gateways, routers, switches, workstations, servers, chassis-based systems, network attached storage, Network Interface Cards (NICs) and other embedded applications. The first retail devices based on the AQC100 is the AQtion AQN-100 NIC that offers x4 PCIe to SFP+ connectivity. The AQN-100 can enable 10GbE DAC or optical connectivity when installed in the standard PCI Express slots commonly found in PC, workstation and server platforms.
