On January 11, 2018, Paul J. van der Wansem, currently a member of Amtech Systems Inc.'s board of directors, notified the Company that he has decided not to stand for re-election to the Company's Board at the 2018 annual meeting of stockholders. Mr. van der Wansem will continue to serve as a member of the Board through his current term, which expires at the Annual Meeting. Mr. van der Wansem has decided not to stand for re-election to the Board for personal reasons, and his decision did not involve any disagreement on any matter relating to the Company's operations, policies, or practices.
