Ambev S.A. (BOVESPA:ABEV3) agreed to acquire 30% stake in Cervecería Nacional Dominicana, S.A. from Empresas Leon Jimenes S.A. for approximately $930 million on December 1, 2017. Upon completion, Ambev S.A. will hold 85% stake in Cervecería Nacional Dominicana, S.A. The deal is subject to certain conditions precedent and is expected to be completed by the beginning of 2018. Maurizio Levi-Minzi, Peter A. Furci, Sergio Torres, Agustina M.Ranieri and Leticia Machado of Debevoise & Plimpton LLP acted as legal advisors to Ambev S.A. Alicantara and Awilda of Squire Patton Boggs acted as legal advisor to E. León Jimenes.
