Iran played down Friday's strike, attributed to Israel, with neither of the two enemy countries seeming to want to escalate further. Geopolitical fears put risky assets under pressure last week, so they rebounded worldwide on Monday.

Few other events are likely to animate trading on Monday: only consumer confidence in the eurozone at 14:00 GMT, a second-order indicator, could cause prices to react.

A conference by European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde will take place at 15:30 GMT, after the close. SAP results are also expected after the close.

On the value side, Alstom advanced by 4.17% after announcing on Friday the sale of its conventional signalling business in North America. (Written by Corentin Chappron, edited by Kate Entringer)
