Aiphone Co., Ltd. (TSE:6718) announces a share repurchase program. Under the program, the company will repurchase up to 2,500,000 shares, representing 13.49%, at a price of ¥1,810 per share for a total of ¥4,525 million. The company will repurchase its shares through a purchase consignment from Off Auction Own Share Repurchase Trading (ToSTNeT-3) of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
Repurchases will be in accordance with article 156 in lieu of article 165, section 3. As of July 31, 2014, the company had 18,521,180 shares outstanding excluding treasury shares and had 2,152,948 shares in treasury.
Aiphone Co Ltd is a Japan-based company mainly engaged in the manufacture and sale of telecommunications equipment. The Company is involved in the manufacture and sale of products in five geographic business segments including Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, North America and Europe. The Companyâs main products consist of detached houses systems, collective housing systems, medical and welfare facilities systems, offices and factories systems. In addition, the Company also provides installation, contract and repair services for its products.
