(Alliance News) - Banca Sistema Spa announced on Thursday that its new board of directors, meeting following its appointment by the shareholders' meeting, has selected Iacopo De Francisco for the role of chief executive officer.

Earlier in the afternoon, shareholders appointed the board, led by Chairman Davide Croff, who will be supported - in addition to De Francisco - by Massimo Ruggieri, Luitgard Spögler, Emanuela Da Rin, Salvatore Baiamonte and independent directors Gioia Ghezzi, Claudio Battistella and Alessandra Grendele.

The board of statutory auditors, meanwhile, will include Chairman Angelo Rocco Bonissoni and standing auditors Giuseppina Pisanti and Franco Vezzani, while the alternates will be Elisabetta Maria Caimmi and Giovanni Pappalardo.

Banca Sistema shares closed Thursday up 0.2% at EUR1.71 per share.
