Sean Kwiat

Sean is a Director at CincyTech and has been actively involved in more than 100 early-stage venture financings and has advised on several exit transactions.
He supports due diligence on new software investment opportunities.
He also significantly contributes to supporting most of the digital companies in the portfolio with financing strategy and financial reporting and metrics acumen.
Additionally, he has helped to lead the formation of CincyTech’s core funds and sidecar investment entities.
Leveraging his valuation analysis from EY, he manages portfolio company valuations and supports the finance team in investor reporting.
“I am energized each morning to help support and learn from the top founders in our region who are building valuable companies on the foundation of world-class innovations.” Prior to joining CincyTech in 2015, Sean served as a CPA at Ernst and Young LLP, focusing on conducting and coordinating audit and financial statement analysis procedures on large SEC and private middle market clients.
He is currently an observer at ReadySet Surgical and Voxel.
He serves as the Membership Chair of VentureNext, a professional peer group of over 270 rising venture capital investors from across the country, and on the Advisory Board at Alloy Growth Lab.
On the weekends and outside of work, you can find Sean cheering on FC Cincinnati with his wife or jamming out on the drums.
At least once a day you’ll find him catching his breath from chasing around his gaggle of toddlers.
