Sands is a Chairman & Founder at SL Investment Management Ltd. He is on the Board of Directors at Surrenda-Link Mortgage Holdings Ltd.
As founding member of SL Investment, he helped to create and shape the market for Traded Endowment Policies (TEPs) by delivering a service for consumers to trade their policies whilst generating value for investors who wished to purchase large policy volumes.
Under his leadership SL launched a number of market firsts including the first TEP Investment Trust, first Off-Shore open-ended TEP Fund (OEIC), first hybrid TEP/Property Fund and first London Stock Exchange listed Life Settlement Fund.
He grew the business into a company employing nearly 75 staff which is now recognized as an expert in the field of secondary life assets and one of the industry's longest established UK regulated Investment Management companies with nearly $1.30 Billion FUMA.
Mr. Sands is a key and highly respected figure in the European TEP market, having been appointed Chairman of the Association of Policy Market Makers (APMM).
He is also MD of TEP Exchange: the fully automated trading platform for TEPS.
