Paul Markovich

Paul Markovich is currently the President & Chief Executive Officer of Blue Shield of California Life & Health Insurance Co. (Invt).
He also holds the position of Chairman at the California Association of Health Plans.
Additionally, he serves as a Director at America's Health Insurance Plans, Inc., the Blue Cross & Blue Shield Association, the Bay Area Council, and Altais.
In his former roles, Mr. Markovich was the Chief Executive Officer & Director of Blue Shield of California from 2024 to 2025.
He also worked as a Management Consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton, Inc. and held the position of Chief Operating Officer & Executive Vice President at Blue Shield of California Life & Health Insurance Co.Mr. Markovich completed his graduate degree at the University of Oxford in 1991 and received his undergraduate degree from The Colorado College in 1988.
