Mark Henderson is a Partner at Greencoat Capital LLP.
Mark joined Greencoat Capital in 2013 from LDC, the UK's leading mid-market private equity house, where he initiated their coverage of the cleantech and renewables sectors.
Prior to that he was at Investec for 7 years, where he set up and headed their Power & Renewable Energy team.
During his time the team won mandates for over €1 billion of debt facilities and pioneered mezzanine lending in the renewable energy sector, financing the construction and acquisition of over 1,000MW of renewable energy projects across Europe.
Mark began his career at Kleinwort Benson (later Dresdner Kleinwort Benson) in 1986, spending 14 years advising on and executing facilities for many landmark transactions in the power sector across South America, South-East Asia, North Africa and Europe.
After leaving in 2000, Mark spent 4 years at the London office of Société Générale, initiating their lending to the renewable energy industry as well as working with the acquisition finance team for power sector acquisitions.
Mark has written articles for a number of the leading publications in the industry and was invited to write the Renewable Energy chapter in the Principles of Project Finance book published recently.
