Mr. Jelle van der Giessen is Chief Investment Officer at ING Investment Management (Europe) B.V.
He is part of ING Insurance/IM EurAsia and a member of the Global Investment Leadership Team.
He focuses on a variety of boutiques including emerging market debt, several equity boutiques, structured products and is responsible for the global coordination of proprietary ING insurance account and in further development ING IM’s global investment engine into a multi-boutique structure.
Prior to that, he joined the International Management Committee in December 2011 as CIO Insurance and was appointed CIO of ING IM Europe in September 2010.
He joined ING IM from Nationale Nederlanden (NN), where he was the Chief Portfolio Manager for ING Insurance Benelux (since Q4 2007) and a member of the NN Board.
He started his career at the NMB Bank.
Mr. van der Giessen holds Master’s degree in Geology Geophysics from the University of Utrecht.
