Butter

Mr. Butter joined AIG Investments in 1988.
He worked on the AIG acquisitions of two life insurance companies in Japan, managing the investment due diligence and transition planning on the acquisition of GE Edison Life (now AIG Edison).
Earlier he worked on the asset due diligence of Chiyoda Mutual Life (now AIG Star), and was Regional Investment Officer, Japan focusing on AIG Star Life.
Prior to that he served as Chief Investment Officer for AIG Companies in Japan and Korea where he oversaw the investment operations of AIG’s various insurance companies in the region.
Prior to AIG, he spent eight years in the Middle East, working first as a bond dealer for a regional bank and then as a fixed-income and equity strategist for an investment company.
He also worked as a corporate finance executive for an UK merchant bank.
Mr. Butter received an MBA from Cranfield Business School, specializing in financial management and accounting.
He also studied Politics, Philosophy and Economics at Oxford University.
