Prior to Jefferson, Mr. Locke was based in Silicon Valley in senior management positions with Netscape Corporation.
In December 1999, Ian returned to Toronto to become President and Chief Operating Officer of The docSpace Company which was sold to Critical Path for US $568 million in the spring of 2000.
At Netscape Corporation, headquartered in Mountain View, CA, Mr. Locke served as Vice President, Worldwide Alliances and Vice President North American Alliances.
During his tenure in Mountain View, Mr. Locke was responsible for all of the division's sales revenue.
In this role, Ian directed the re-architecting of Netscape's "go-to-market" indirect sales strategy.
This mission included establishing alliances and partnerships with leading professional services firms so that Netscape could maximize e-commerce enterprise revenue.
Mr. Locke also played a key role in the integration of Netscape into America Online, Inc. with the resulting SUN-Netscape Alliance.
Mr. Locke holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Joseph L.
Rotman School of Management and a Bachelor of Business Management from Ryerson Polytechnic Institute.
He currently serves on the Board of Avotus Corporation and Attensity Corporation and the Rotman School Advancement board.
