Perez is a Principal & Senior Wealth Advisor at GenTrust LLC.
He is responsible for the management of several of GenTrust’s largest client relationships.
His magnetic personality and intolerance for pretense have endeared him to ultra-high net worth individuals and families who have entrusted him with their wealth for almost two decades.
Given the multi-national needs of many firm's clients, he often is called upon to direct clients’ legal and tax advisors in regards to estate planning, charitable giving, wealth transfer and tax planning issues.
Prior to co-founding GenTrust in 2011, Mr. Perez was a First Vice President in the International Wealth Management Group at Merrill Lynch.
Within Merrill, he served as an integral force in expanding the firm’s reach within South Florida as well as internationally.
He also spent seven years on the Institutional Fixed Income desk at Merrill Lynch where he developed expertise in cash management strategies and short-term fixed income solutions.
He graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor Degree in Economics and Latin American Studies, and also holds the distinction of being a Certified Investment Management Analyst.
