Duncan McVicar

Dr. Duncan McVicar is a Research Fellow at Forschungsinstitut zur Zukunft der Arbeit GmbH.
He is a Professor of Economics at Queen's University, Belfast.
His research interests include program evaluation and welfare reform; disability, unemployment, and inactivity; non-standard employment; education; substance use; and sequence analysis of labor market data.
He joined IZA as a Research Fellow in May 2017.
He formerly worked at the University of Melbourne and the Northern Ireland Economic Research Center.
He obtained his Ph.D.
in Economics from the University of Southampton in 1999.
