Prior to joining Nollengerber Capital Partners, Mr. Barteld was a managing director at Wells Fargo Securities, where he led the firm’s equity research gaming franchise for more than five years.
Mr. Barteld was also an equity research analyst for eight years at Bear Stearns, covering a number of consumer-related industry sectors, including gaming and restaurants.
He published widely accepted monthly gaming reports on both gaming and restaurants and provided research coverage for several consumer growth companies.
Between his time at Bear Stearns and Wells Fargo, Mr. Barteld was the co-founder of an attorney-owned and -operated, full-service legal staffing firm based in Portland, Oregon.
Mr. Barteld has been listed in The Wall Street Journal/Thomson First Call’s “Best On The Street” Analyst Survey for stock picking in gaming.
He has also been a top-ranked analyst for stock picking in the Leisure group of the Forbes/Starmine survey.
Mr. Barteld graduated from Hofstra University, New College in 1988 with a BS degree in social sciences, with a concentration in psychology and business.
Concurrent with his educational pursuits, Mr. Barteld was a front office supervisor for Marriott Corp.
