For larger investments, they co-invest with other financial partners or informal investors. PPM always takes minority shares. They also are a shareholder. They are prepared to accept a higher risk profile. PPM is an active investment partner. In addition to providing capital, they strive to add value through provision of management and industry expertise. They draw on their networks of entrepreneurs and commissioners, and access to institutions. They provide coaching for early phase ventures. PPM's investment time frame usually ranges from five to seven years. Their exit strategies include sales to the existing firm management, other shareholders, another strategic party or trade, another investor or through an IPO.
