Chin Tai Shih

Chin Tai Shih is currently an Honorary Chairman Professor at National Tsing-Hua University.
He also holds current positions as an Independent Director at Vanguard International Semiconductor Corp., Sercomm Corp., Taiwan Union Technology Corp., and FocalTech Systems Co., Ltd.
Additionally, he serves as a Director at Qualife System Technology Corp., and as the President of both the Taiwan Semiconductor Industry Association and the Chinese Institute of Engineers (Taiwan).
In the past, Dr. Shih served as the Chief Executive Officer of Sun Yun Suan Academic Foundation, Chairman & President of Industrial Technology Research Institute, Chairman of the Institute For Information Industry, and Chairman of the Service Science Society of Taiwan.
He also held positions as an Independent Director at FocalTech Corp., Ltd., and as a Director at Microelectronics Technology, Inc. Furthermore, he worked as a Senior Advisor at AsiaTech Management LLC.
Dr. Shih obtained his graduate degree from Stanford University, his doctorate from Princeton University, and his undergraduate degree from National Taiwan University.
