SelStor AB was established in 2006 by Michael Fogelberg, Patrick Metdepenninghen, Åke Fogelberg and Grana International. This group was involved in the formation of Shurgard Europe in 1994, and they contributed to helping the company become a market leader. Smedvig Capital was established in 1996 and has since contributed to the growth of more than 30 businesses. SelStor began in Stockholm, but over the next few years plans are to expand throughout Sweden and then in select European markets. The aim is to open at least 3 or 4 facilities a year.
