He joined TCW’s Sovereign Research team in 1995, and then returned to TCW in 2008 after nearly two years as Senior Asia Analyst at Pantera Capital Management, L.P., a global macro hedge fund based in San Francisco.
As a member of Pantera’s investment committee, Mr. Rowley developed top-down investment themes in Asian equities, fixed income and foreign exchange.
He was also responsible for generating specific trade ideas and execution strategies, based on interpretations of economic data and market conditions.
Before Pantera Capital, Mr. Rowley was Managing Director in TCW’s Global Research Department.
Mr. Rowley graduated from Brigham Young University, where he received a BA in Japanese with an emphasis in Economics.
