Alice Walton

Crystal Bridges - Museum of American Art, Inc. is a non-profit charitable organization founded by Alice Walton in 2005. The museum is located on 120 acres of Ozark landscape in Bentonville, AR, and was designed by world-renowned architect Moshe Safdie. The museum opened a satellite contemporary art space in downtown Bentonville called The Momentary in February 2020. The museum's mission is to celebrate the American spirit by uniting the power of art with the beauty of nature. The museum's collection includes American masterworks from the early American period to the present day, as well as temporary exhibitions. In addition to the museum's amenities, such as a restaurant, gift store, library, and five miles of art and walking trails, the museum also offers public programs, including lectures, performances, classes, and teacher development opportunities.
