ZTE Corp. and Analogix Semiconductor, Inc. are demonstrating the industry's first 4K capable smartphone under ZTE's premium Nubia brand during this week's 2014 International CES show in Las Vegas. The Nubia 4K capable smartphone features a built-in SlimPort(R) interface solution from Analogix Semiconductor, Inc., which allows it to display theater-quality movies, sports, presentations and other content on external displays with up to 4K resolution.

The Nubia smartphone features Nubia's NeoLink technology, the industry's first truly end-to-end commercial mobile solution, with SlimPort as underlying technology, and it is on display at both ZTE's booth #31431 in South Hall 3 and the SlimPort booth #36912 in South Hall 4 of the Las Vegas Convention Center. Ultra-HD 4K displays, the latest advance in video performance, offer vertical resolution of nearly 4,000 pixels (3,840 pixels × 2,160 lines) -- twice the resolution of today's popular 1080p HDTV displays. TV and chip makers are adding support for 4K output capability to their latest devices, while companies such as Netflix and Amazon have begun creating 4K programming for the new format.
