Yamato Transport Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Yutaka Nagao; hereinafter "Yamato Transport") announces that, as of Wednesday, June 12, 2024, it has published its B2 Cloud API, enabling customers to issue waybills for TA-Q-BIN and other services directly from their systems.

1. Background and Objectives

With the recent expansion of the e-commerce market, an increasing number of retailers have begun to sell their products not only through physical stores but also through multiple e-commerce sites, creating the challenge of complicated order and inventory management and shipping arrangements via multiple websites. Amid these issues, an increasing number of e-commerce businesses are utilizing systems that handle all e-commerce processes, from opening websites and ordering to sales.

In May 2017, Yamato Transport began offering the Waybill Issuing System B2 Cloud for corporate customers to issue waybills for TA-Q-BIN and other services. Today, this cloud service is used by more than 500,000 customers.

However, the waybill issuance process has until now required e-commerce businesses to set up the Waybill Issuing System B2 Cloud service separately from their e-commercebusiness-related systems. This led to a number of requests for direct integration between this cloud service and customer systems.

With the release of the B2 Cloud API, waybills can now be issued directly on e-commerce business- related systems without having to operate the Waybill Issuing System B2 Cloud service. This enables seamless operation from order receipt to shipment, contributing to improved customer convenience.

2. Overview of B2 Cloud API

B2 Cloud API is a web API for utilizing Waybill Issuing System B2 Cloud, a service provided for corporate customers. By using this API, customers engaged in e-commerce and other businesses can issue waybills directly from their e-commerce systems without having to separately use the aforementioned cloud service, and data from the issued waybill is integrated automatically.
