In organ transplantation, the lack of donated organs suitable for transplantation remains a challenge and has resulted in an increased use organs from marginal donors including DCD. The use of machine perfusion has emerged as a means to mitigate the risk associated to the use of high risk organs. In this symposia some of the
leading experts will summarize the promising results from some of the latest landmark studies in the area of machine perfusion in abdominal transplantation.
