Oslo, April 25, 2019 - In January 2015, the Chilean prosecutor's office, the Hoya la Fiscalia Nacional Economica (FNE), accused several car carriers of alleged anti-competitive behaviour, among them Wallenius Wilhelmsen ASA subsidiary EUKOR.

The matter was referred to the Chilean competition court, the Tribunal de Defensa de la Libre Competencia (TLDC). The TLDC has now announced its verdict, and we are pleased to see that their decision frees EUKOR of accusations. The Chilean process allows however, for the parties to appeal the verdict if they so desire to the Supreme Court.

This news does not trigger any change in Wallenius Wilhelmsen provision. The company regularly reviews provisions together with its auditors and evaluates all developments in outstanding jurisdictions, as well as the risk of civil claims.
