Shares of WalkMe jumped more than 40% in premarket trading Wednesday after the digital adoption platform agreed to be acquired by German software group SAP for about $1.5 billion.

SAP said it would pay $14 a share in cash for WalkMe, a 45% premium to Tuesday's closing price for the Tel Aviv, Israel, company.

The deal is slated to close in the third quarter.

WalkMe shares were recently up 42% to $13.70 in premarket trading.
