The Norwegian Environment Agency has granted Vow Green Metals permission to produce biocarbon and utilize related byproducts for energy purposes at the Hønefoss plant. The company is currently building its large-scale biocarbon production facility, set to become one ofEurope's largest, at the industrial site Treklyngen at Hønefoss. The large-scale facility will have an annual biocarbon production capacity above 20,000 tons and an abatement potential of around 100,000 tons of fossil CO2 p.a. The environmental permit is granted by theNorwegian Environment Agency under the Norwegian Pollution Control Act and approves the company's operations corresponding to the planned phased development of the large-scale facility at Hønefoss.
