Volkswagen planned to invest EUR 86 billion (approx. USD 102 billion) from 2015 to 2019 to develop new models, new technology and build new plants. In addition, the company will additionally invest EUR 22 billion (approx.
USD 26 billion) together with its Chinese partners. These move demonstrated the company's determination to become the World's sales champion by 2018. The company will further exploit the Chinese market in a move to complete the goal.
