Vilmorin has gained more than 1%, outperforming the trend in Paris, the day after the publication of its first-half performance, a period which "above all reflects a rather exceptional dynamic for field crops", according to Oddo BHF.

This first half undeniably reflects a certain advance on objectives, hence the upward revision of topline guidance to +8/10% in organic terms, compared with +6/8%", points out the analyst, who sees a TMVA of ROC 2022/25 of almost 7% for the seeds company.

While maintaining an 'outperform' rating on Vilmorin, a stock included in its 'European Midcap S1 2023' list, Oddo is raising its target price from 68 to 76 euros, judging that 'valuation remains structurally as modest as ever'.
