US Ecology, Inc. Announces Management Changes

US Ecology, Inc. announced the completion of its previously announced acquisition of EQ - The Environmental Quality Company (EQ). The company also announced that David M. Lusk, formerly President and CEO of EQ, was appointed to the Board of Directors of US Ecology. Lusk, age 53, brings more than 25 years of industry experience.

Lusk previously worked for eight years as EQ's Vice President of Operations at Michigan Disposal Waste Treatment Plant and Wayne Disposal Hazardous Waste Landfill before joining Republic Waste Industries as Vice President of Midwest Operations. In addition, Mario Romero, Vice President of Operations of EQ, was named US Ecology's Executive Vice President of Field and Industrial Services. Romero joined EQ in 2009 from WOW Energy where he was President, CEO and co-founder.

US Ecology, Inc. is a provider of environmental services to commercial and governmental entities. The Company is engaged in complex waste management and responding needs to its customers; o?ering treatment; disposal and recycling of hazardous, non-hazardous and radioactive waste; leading emergency response and standby services; and a range of complementary ?eld services. It has three segments. Waste Solutions segment provides specialty waste management services, including treatment, disposal, bene?cial re-use, and recycling of hazardous, non-hazardous and other specialty waste at the Company's own treatment, storage and disposal facilities. Field Services segment provides logistics and response solutions focusing on in-?eld service o?erings through its network of-day transfer facilities. Energy Waste segment provides energy waste management and critical support services to up-stream oil and gas customers in the Permian and Eagle Ford basins primarily operating in Texas.
