U.S. Bancorp announced earnings results for the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2018. For the fourth quarter, the company announced net interest income was USD 3,303 million compared to USD 3,175 million a year ago. Net income was USD 1,856 million compared to USD 1,682 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was USD 1.1 compared to USD 0.97 a year ago. For the full year, net interest income was USD 12,919 million compared to USD 12,380 million a year ago. Net income was USD 7,096 million compared to USD 6,218 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was USD 4.15 compared to USD 3.53 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share was USD 4.14 compared to USD 3.51 a year ago.
