Uralkali again joined the group of industry champions for its responsible approach to production of mineral fertilizers in the Industry Stewardship Champions, a global project of the International Fertilizer Association (IFA).

This year, the list of Champions was announced by IFA's Board of Directors during its annual strategic forum held in Dubai (UAE).

The Industry Stewardship Champion title was awarded to certain fertilizer producers, which took part in a series of IFA-arranged annual industry research focusing on at product quality, health, safety and environmental performance, energy and resource efficiency, GHG emissions and other opportunities to improve operating efficiency. Candidates also had to successfully pass the IFA Protect & Sustain certification process, which is an industry standard for product stewardship and which combines requirements of a number of international certificates like ISO, OHSAS and Responsible Care.

Vitaly Lauk, Uralkali CEO, commented:

This high rating of our operations by IFA serves as another confirmation that we have chosen the right strategy and set the right priorities in ESG and operating efficiency. We will continue our consistent progress in these areas by using in-house expertise and leading international practices.
