(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the best and worst performers on the Small-Cap Wednesday afternoon in Piazza Affari.

FTSE SMALL CAP - WINNERS

Fidia takes the top spot, up 3.4 percent. The stock has given up 1.6 percent in the past thirty days and about 22 percent in the past twelve months.

TXT e-solutions also does well, up 3.3% to EUR13.28 per share. The company announced Tuesday that it had purchased 15,920 of its own shares at an average price of EUR12.7296 for a total consideration of EUR202,655.80.

The shares were taken over between Dec. 19 and Dec. 28, at which time the company came to hold 906,600 treasury shares or about 7.0 percent of its share capital.

FTSE SMALL CAP - LOSERS

Bioera sits on the bottom and gives up 5.5 percent. The stock continues a bearish trend that has seen it lose 11 percent in the past month and 59 percent in the past year.
