TEIAS has invited a joint venture between Turk Prysmian and Prysmian Powerlink to sign a EUR 63.6 million ($79.3 million) deal for a subsea power line across the Dardanelles strait in northwestern Turkey. The joint venture was the only bidder in the tender for the Lapseki-Sutluce 380 kV subsea power transmission line project in June. The project envisages the installation of a 4.5 kilometre-long subsea power cable line in the province of Canakkale to connect the power transmission lines in the districts of Lapseki and Sutluce, located on the two sides of the Dardanelles strait.

The project is to be carried out in 750 days after signing the agreement.
