Tubos Reunidos Group will have its own space at the EIC in order to continue to advance in innovative piping solutions

Today, Tubos Reunidos Group attended the inauguration of the new advanced energy centre EIC (Energy Intelligence Centre). The Group will have its own space at the new Abanto Campus, which is part of the Technology Parks of the Basque Country, to work on the promotion and development of pioneering components and solutions that will serve to progress in the transport of energy in the energy transition.

In its focus on innovation, Tubos Reunidos Group will have laboratories and test machines for full-scale prototypes, thereby allowing it to extend its range of new products and solutions directed at meeting the present and future challenges of its customers.

As well as Tubos Reunidos Group, companies such as Petronor, AMPO, Tubacex and Vicinay will also have their own space at the EIC.

The aim is thus to promote open and collaborative innovation between all companies in order to work on important projects which will have a driving effect. This will be achieved through R&D&I activities to build new models for the generation, production and consumption of energy that are in line with the decarbonisation targets.

The EIC therefore aspires to become a benchmark hub for innovation in energy technology at an international level, one that is able to create a technological-industrial ecosystem directed at the new fuels and developments involved in the energy transition, and with a specific focus on hydrogen, as one of the energy sources that offers the greatest potential.

The centre was inaugurated by the Lehendakari (Basque Premier) Iñigo Urkullu, and the Head of the Provincial Council of Bizkaia, Unai Rementería. Francisco Irazusta, the chairman of the Tubos Reunidos Group attended this ceremony in which he was given the space assigned to his company, together with the rest of the representatives from the companies who are also part of this initiative.
