Tobolsk Oil Trunk Pipeline Directorate of Transneft Siberia, JSC is replacing the underwater section of the standby leg of Kholmogory - Klin oil trunk pipeline (OTP) in the place of the crossing over the Yarka river (Tyumen Oblast). Renovation is being performed according to the development program of the joint-stock company.

Work on replacement of the underwater crossing of the OTP standby leg began in January 2017. The new section in the place of the crossing over the Yarka river will be laid using trench method. The length of the section under renovation is 240 m. The width of the river in the area of work is 23.18 m, depth - 1.7 m.

At present the site and access roads are ready and all the necessary equipment and materials are supplied. Work on disconnection of the underwater crossing from Kholmogory - Klin OTP system is now underway. Over 40 specialists of Tobolsk OTPD and a contracting organization are involved in the work on the site.

Completion of all work, including technical and biological land rehabilitation, and commissioning under the project are planned for September 2017.

Renovation of the underwater crossing of Kholmogory - Klin OTP is being performed in order to ensure no-failure operation and environmental safety of the oil trunk pipeline system of Transneft Siberia, JSC.
