In 2017, Transneft Siberia plans to revamp 11 crude storage tanks with the total nominal volume of 200,000 m.

As per the company's development programme, 11 vertical steel tanks (VSTs) at nine line operation dispatcher stations (LODSs) will be revamped in 2017.

Thus at Karkateyevy LODS of the Nefteyugansk Oil Trunk Pipeline Directorate (OTPD) three tanks have been pulled out of service for subsequent revamping. In the months to come, two VSTs at Western Surgut LODS of the Surgut OTPD will be revamped. Two other tanks will be upgraded at the Nizhnevartovsk OTPD (Uryevskaya LODS and Samotlor LODS). Three tanks will be revamped at the Uray Directorate - one at each of the following LODS: Shaim, Konda, and Krasnoleninskaya. The revamping of VST No. 8 at Torgili LODS of the Tyumen OTPD will commence this February.

In the process of revamping, depending on the project, a range of works will be accomplished to replace the steelwork of the wall, roof, and bottom of the tank, to reinforce the foundation, install a modern firefighting system and measuring equipment as well as to fashion dyking.

The tank revamping is based on the results of inspection that involves non-destructive control (in particular, X-ray control, magnetic control, ultrasonic thickness measuring) of the tank wall, bottom, and roof steelwork as well as the inspection of the VST corrosion-resistant coating and equipment placed in the tank dyking.

In 2017, Transneft Siberia will commission 10 tanks and one more facility will be finished in 2018.
