Toyota appointed Yoshiaki Ito as new head of Russian division, director of St. Petersburg plant. Yoshiaki Ito succeeded Shuji Suga as president of Toyota Motor Russia, the local division of Toyota Motor Corporation, effective January 1. Ito, who began his career in the legal department at Toyota Motor Corporation in 1987, was responsible for the company's operations on the Russian market at Toyota's European headquarters from 2021 to 2022. Suga, who headed Toyota Motor Russia (TMR) from 2018 to the end of 2021, will continue to support TMR operations as executive advisor. The company also appointed Shinya Takahashi as the new head of the Toyota plant in St. Petersburg and TMR executive vice president for manufacturing. Takahashi joined Toyota Motor Corporation in 1991 and has served in various management positions at the company's production facilities throughout the world. He served as head of production control at Toyota Motor Corporation in Japan from 2019 to 2021 and vice president at Toyota Motor North America in the United States from 2016 to 2019.

Suga, who headed Toyota Motor Russia from 2018 to the end of 2021, will continue to support TMR operations as executive advisor. The company also appointed Shinya Takahashi as the new head of the Toyota plant in St. Petersburg and TMR executive vice president for manufacturing.
