EAGAN, Minn. - Thomson Reuters Concourse continues to integrate tools and resources into its workflow solution for corporate and government law departments. Concourse has added Drafting Assistant, Westlaw Doc & Form Builder and WestlawNext® Practitioner InsightsTM, with further announcements expected in the coming weeks.

Thomson Reuters continues to integrate its leading products and tools into the workflow of its customers, according to Anne Thompson, director of Product Development. "By connecting these solutions with Concourse, users can save time and energy accessing information and resources relevant to their work on a matter, whether on the desktop at the office or via a mobile device or tablet. The integration of Drafting Assistant highlights this, enabling improved collaboration with colleagues and outside counsel through matter room folders and providing automatic notification when documents are updated and ready for review."

New to Thomson Reuters Concourse are:

  • Drafting Assistant - Transactional: Works within a user's word processor to intelligently scan documents in seconds, alerting the user to errors, inconsistencies, missing information, and assess potential issues, such as defined term and cross-reference discrepancies. Drafting Assistant - Transactional also includes hundreds of up-to-date model documents and clauses to help jump-start the drafting process without the user having to leave their master document.
    · Drafting Assistant - Litigation: Brings legal and case-related information and innovative drafting tools into the user's existing word processor for fast, efficient creation of key legal documents. Its Authority Compiler feature allows users to quickly download and compile the brief, with authorities automatically pulled from WestlawNext and appended to the document. It produces formatted electronic documents that can be easily shared with clients, co-counsel, opposition, judges, clerks and others.
  • Westlaw Doc & Form Builder: This automated online document assembly tool builds forms, saves data to reuse in additional forms, and allows users to manage their forms repository via foldering and favorites, while allowing quick access to their most recent forms via the Concourse dashboard. Forms are from familiar, trusted sources with no-charge linking to cited statutory and analytical content on WestlawNext. Plus, forms are automatically updated to ensure customers are using the most current version.
  • WestlawNext Practitioner Insights: Through multiple practice areas and jurisdictions, the practitioner-focused pages provide legal professionals the exclusive current awareness information, related legal developments and analysis needed to stay up to speed and lead their practice area. Concourse users can customize their view to display the top three articles for a specific practice area and access directly from their dashboard.

Thompson added that these integrations are a result of customer feedback. "We are constantly working with and receiving feedback from our customers to better understand how they work and determine ways in which we can improve our software products and services to enable them to be more efficient and effective; providing ways to connect Thomson Reuters products more seamlessly through Concourse is in direct response to this feedback."
