TD Bank Group recently announced plans to hire on 2,000 technology employees. These employees will help roll out digital products and services to customers, according to a report by The Wall Street Journal.

In addition, the bank also plans to have its various teams work more closely together to deliver technology more quickly and efficiently.

Greg Keely, head of platforms and technology teams for TD Bank said the bank plans to develop strategies that are "reusable, leverageable and, in a way, something we can execute across all our products in a consistent manner."
