Thales: contract with DGA for offshore patrol boats
The equipment consists of a Bluewatcher hull sonar, a compact multi-mission and IFF surveillance radar, and a friend/enemy identification system.
This order is part of a contract worth a total of 900 million euros, the production of which has been entrusted to a consortium comprising CMN, Piriou and Socarenam.
The contract for project management assistance and production of the combat steering system has been awarded to Naval Group.
These patrol boats, which are expected to enter service by 2035, with the first delivery scheduled for 2026, are intended to replace the deep-sea patrol boats (PHM) based in Brest and Toulon, as well as the public service patrol boats based in Cherbourg.
