TM ELEVATES EVERLY AND PRESCOTT HOTEL GUEST'S EXPERIENCES WITH ITS HOSPITALITY ENTERTAINMENT SOLUTION
Everly Group becomes the first hotel chain to subscribe to TM's Hospitality Entertainment Solution for all its 8 hotels

Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) today continues to elevate the experience of guests at Malaysian hotels when it signed a Service Agreement with Everly Group for the provision of its Hospitality Entertainment Solution

Under this agreement, all hotels under Everly Group umbrella will be able to enjoy TM's latest ICT and entertainment package comprising In-Building Broadband Solution (IBS), TM's IPTV service - HyppTV, and a Call Centre service; powered by TM's high-speed broadband (HSBB) network connectivity.

With this collaboration, Everly Group becomes the first hotel chain to subscribe to TM's Hospitality Entertainment Solution for all of its eight (8) hotels.

The 8 hotels that will be provisioned with Hospitality Entertainment Solution are;

  1. The Everly Hotel Putrajaya
  2. Parkcity Everly Hotel Bintulu, Sarawak
  3. Parkcity Everly Hotel Miri, Sarawak
  4. Everly Resort Hotel, Melaka
  5. Prescott Hotel Kuala Lumpur, Medan Tuanku, Kuala Lumpur
  6. Prescott Hotel Kuala Lumpur Sentral, Kuala Lumpur
  7. Prescott Hotel Kajang, Selangor
  8. Prescott Hotel Klang, Selangor

The solution is exclusively targeted at hospitality industry players; hotel businesses, retreat owners, resort owners/operators, hospitals, apartments, condominiums and any high tenancy buildings that require wired/wireless Internet access and uninterrupted TV viewing.

Azizi A. Hadi, Executive Vice President, SME, TM and Khaidhir Elias, Vice President, SME Sales, TM signed the Service Agreement on behalf of TM, while Everly Group was represented by Dennis Tan, Managing Director of Everly Group and Mok Pin Chuan, Hotel Manager of Everly Parkcity Miri, Sarawak.

Commenting on the new partnership, Azizi said, "The agreement today indicates significant change for Malaysian SMEs involved in the hospitality industry. This comprehensive solution is specially developed to elevate the hotel guests' experience and also to ease hoteliers technical management concerns as the solution provides High Speed Broadband Internet access via TM's connectivity, world-class entertainment via HyppTV, as well as a 24/7 Call Centre and Customer support. The designated Call Centre will be managing any issues from the hotel management and the end users on WiFi access and HyppTV channels. In short, the hotel can focus on what they do best - providing convenience and hospitality to their patrons, and let us do the rest. This is in line with our 'Business Made Easier' aspiration to become the preferred communications and complete solutions partner to SMEs in Malaysia."

"I am enthusiastic with this collaboration with Everly Group, as they are the first hotel chain in Malaysia to sign-up for our Hospitality Entertainment Solution for all 8 hotels under the group's management since the launch of the solution in June 2013. Congratulations for choosing the best ICT and entertainment solution for the hospitality industry!" added Azizi.

Established in 1990, the Everly Group (formerly known as Value Hospitality Group) currently manages eight (8) hotels in the nation including the Everly range and Prescott range. Over 700 professionals are employed in all properties under its management. Everly Group's expertise also extends to hotel technical consultation and design, construction management and investment advice.

According to the Dennis Tan, "We are pleased with this collaboration, especially in meeting the needs of the current genre of guests who value human connectivity and diversity in entertainment."

"We believe that this alliance lends robust support to both brands. From the Everly brand perspective, hotels are social exchanges and we place greatest emphasis on how our people connect with guests and how our guests connect with other travellers, whether on a business or leisure trip. And the Prescott hotels are the stimulating hubs of the communities in which they are located. Thus, having high speed connectivity and good entertainment promotes its role as a social hub in which people hang out, celebrate, dine and stay," he added.
In today's internet age, the hospitality industry needs to ensure that guests are not only comfortable, but also well connected. Modern travellers are looking to escape into a world of comfort, while staying connected to their network of loved ones, friends and business associates. Thus internet accessibility has become even more important for the travellers in this era of technology.

The collaboration between both parties is timely as it goes in tandem with the current Visit Malaysia 2014 campaign by the Government to promote Malaysia's hospitality industry. According to Tourism Malaysia's data, a total of 25.72 million tourists entered Malaysia in 2013, an increase of 1.03% year-on-year compared to 2012, making our country the 10th most visited country in the world in 2013.

Connectivity, HyppTV & No Worries!

With this collaboration, all 8 hotels will be able to offer their respective guests high quality 'plug-and-play' internet access where guests away on holiday can remain connected to their loved ones by sending email, holiday photos, and videos or update their social media networks. Business guests can also enjoy secured access to their corporate intranet enabling them to stay productive while they are away from their office. The service will cover all areas of the establishments including the 1,574 guest rooms at all its hotels.

Subscribers to this latest solution are offered up to 65 HyppTV channels to choose from HyppTV's library for their guests; which include seven (9) Free To Air (FTA) channels and 56 premium channels.
