Telekom Malaysia Berhad appointed Datuk Bazlan Bin Osman, age 60, as Independent and Non Executive Director, effective from 30 May 2024. Qualifications: Professional Qualification - Fellow - Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), United Kingdom (UK). Others - Member - Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).

Diploma - Accounting - Polytechnic of North London, UK. Working experience and occupation: Datuk Bazlan bin Osman began his career in audit in 1986 with Messrs Hanafiah Raslan & Mohamad. He served the Sime Darby Group, holding various finance positions in its corporate offices in Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Melaka from 1989 to 1993.

He then had a stint with American Express Malaysia Berhad before joining Kumpulan FIMA Berhad in 1994, where he was subsequently appointed Senior Vice President (SVP), Finance/Company Secretary. He joined Celcom in 2001 as the SVP, Corporate Finance and Treasury and was appointed the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in 2002 prior to his appointment as TM Group CFO in 2005. He was later appointed as an Executive Director of TM in 2008.

In 2017, he assumed the Executive Director/Deputy Group CEO role before he left TM in 2019. Throughout his career, other than telecommunication, Datuk Bazlan has held directorships in various companies of different industries such as banking, property development, digital, education and courier service. He was also formerly an Ex-Officio of Financial Reporting Foundation, Chair of ACCA Malaysia Advisory Committee and President of MIA.
