TATNEFT and the 'Ecology of Industrial Cities' Consortium signed an agreement of intent.

The signing ceremony took place within the framework of the Oil Summit of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The document was signed by Nail Maganov, General Director of TATNEFT, and Oleg Sinyashin, Head of the Chemistry Research Center of the Kazan Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences, who is a coordinator of the Industrial Cities Ecology Consortium.

The parties agreed to study the possibility of TATNEFT's participation as an industrial partner of the Ecology of Industrial Cities Consortium in projects related to the recovery, utilization and rational use of carbon dioxide and its utilization to obtain products that meet the conditions of a minimum carbon footprint and general material costs.

TATNEFT strives to build up its potential in fighting against climate change. The signed agreement is a logical continuation of the Company's activities in the area of preventing possible negative impact on the environment and reducing greenhouse gas emissions, taking into account the requirements for the transition to the best available technologies.
